I’m sure you’ll all remember the smoked glass trend in the 1990s. Pretty much every coffee table and coffee mug was made of smoked glass and so too were the lampshades. After a period out of the spotlight it’s now made a bit of a return, but are we ready for it yet or is it still a touch old school?
Well it depends how much you add to your living room. In moderation, a single smoked glass lamp, coffee table or shelf can add a touch of charm, but too much can make your living room look 20 years old. When taking ideas and inspiration from previous years, it’s important to do so with a contemporary outlook, so don’t overdo it and create an outdated living room design. The more thought you put into furniture buying, the better your house will look.
